Israeli immigrant Roni Elias first came to the United States in the late 1980s to pursue his American dream. While serving as a soldier in the Israeli Army, he learned of the vast opportunities available in America for those who were willing to take risks, work hard and make sacrifices. After his military discharge, Roni moved to the United States and eventually landed in Naples, where he first worked as a spray man for a painting contractor, learning every aspect of the painting business, while his wife, Maria, attended classes to become a licensed painting contractor. In less than 10 years, the couple started their own small painting business, Elias Brothers Painting, with modest means – a used van, second-hand equipment and simple, word-of-mouth advertising.

Their determination paid off quickly. By late 1990, Roni and Maria had hired a dozen employees and were receiving contracts on painting new construction projects throughout Naples. As predicted, something good did begin to happen - Elias Brothers Painting began receiving an abundance of sizeable projects from building supervisors who had come to regard the company as an organization that both listened to its customers’ expectations and delivered projects ahead of schedule.

While the painting company was experiencing progressive growth, the Elias family was starting to learn the construction trade from seasoned building and development contractors with whom they did business. Their timing could not have been better. The homebuilding/development industry in Southwest Florida was beginning to explode and Elias Brothers Painting had already forged thriving relationships with many of the area’s most prominent builder/developers. Their first industry-related projects included the construction of Victoria Shores condominiums in the Victoria Lakes subdivision in Naples, Florida as well as the Villas of Crown Pointe and Royal Villas in the Crown Pointe community in Naples, Florida. Shortly thereafter, the company developed, built and sold its first stand-alone community, the Villas at Greenwood Lake, in Naples, Florida, which sold-out in less than two years.

From those early projects, A.R.M. Development/Elias Brothers, Inc. was born and a new business venture was on its way to changing the new real estate propority of residential landscape of the Naples, Florida market.

As company interests evolved, so too, did the involvement of additional Elias family members in various aspects of business operations. With 15 siblings in the Elias family, other relatives, joined the family-run enterprises to lend their contributions to defining the company and increasing its value.
